Will Disney World Bring Back Free Dining in 2026?
By Ashley Beard
As we roll into March 2026, Disney fans are asking the same question: will Disney World bring back its famous Free Dining offer? Let’s take a look at the clues so far.
A Look Back at 2025
Last year, Disney surprised guests with not one, but two major dining deals. First up, Disney Visa cardholders got exclusive access to a limited-time offer: book a 4-night, 4-day Disney World package (including a stay at select resorts and Park Hopper tickets) at full price, and the Disney Dining Plan came free.
The very next day, Disney opened a similar offer to everyone else: the same 4-night, 4-day package with a free Disney Dining Plan—no Disney Visa required.
Could Free Dining Return?
While Disney hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet, there are some signs that a free dining option might be back in 2026.
For starters, Disney is already running a free kids’ dining offer this year. Guests booking a Disney Resorts Collection package with a dining plan for everyone 10 and older can get free dining plans for kids ages 3–9. This deal is available on 2026 bookings and requires a vacation package that includes both hotel and park tickets.
Discounts Are in Full Swing
Over the past few years, Disney has been offering more discounts than ever. Their most recent earnings call showed bookings are up 5%, weighted toward the latter half of the year, proving that promotions like these are still driving strong profits.
Currently, Disney has some major room discounts available:
-
Save up to 30% on select Disney Resort rooms for stays most nights from May 1 through July 29, 2026.
-
Deluxe Tier Resorts: 30% off for stays 5+ nights, 25% off for 1–4 nights.
-
Moderate & Value Tier Resorts: 25% off for 5+ nights, 20% off for 1–4 nights.
-
Fort Wilderness Campground: 20% off for 5+ nights, 15% off for 1–4 nights.
What This Means for Free Dining
While it’s unclear if Disney will bring back the exact free dining offer from 2025, the popularity of current discounts—including free kids’ dining—suggests some type of free dining promotion could be on the horizon.
